This table is not official
Cubetta has no relationship with the World Cube Association or any other federation, and nothing that appears here is a recognised record. Real records are set at in-person competitions, with judges watching. This is a scoreboard among people practising at home.
A timer inside a browser cannot prove that you turned a cube: it measures what it is told. That is why results are published marked as “unverified”, and only those that someone has checked by watching a recording carry a badge. If a result has no badge, all you know about it is that someone typed it.
Publishing a result
Publishing is voluntary and is a separate act: you can use the timer forever without anything ever leaving your device. When you publish, your nickname, your average of five, the five times behind it and the five scrambles become public. Nothing else, and none of that identifies you unless you choose to identify yourself.
The five times and five scrambles are shown on purpose, and it is not a whim: they are what lets anyone examine a result closely and decide whether they believe it. A table showing only the final number is a table where nothing can be argued.
You can only have one published result at a time. If you publish a better one, it replaces the previous one.
Nicknames
Do not use your real full name, least of all if you are a minor. A nickname is exactly for that. Insults, sexual content, hatred towards a group of people, and impersonating another person or Cubetta are not allowed either.
There is an automatic filter, but it is a speed bump and not a wall: an odd accent gets around it. What really holds this up is that anyone can report an entry from the table itself and that entries can be removed by hand.
Video verification
To be eligible for the verified badge you must record the whole session with your camera, in a single take and live. This route is reserved for people aged 18 or over, and you will be asked explicitly before the camera is turned on.
The recording is NEVER published. It does not appear in the table, its link cannot be passed to anyone and not even you can download it again. One person watches it to check the result, and what becomes public is the badge, not the video. It is recorded without sound.
The recording is kept for as long as your result stays published, because it is what backs it up. As soon as you delete your entry, the video is deleted with it, in the same action and without you having to ask.
If you change your times, the badge falls off. That is only logical: the recording proves the result that was recorded, not the next one.
Cheating
Results below anything any human being has ever done are rejected, and any entry that does not hold up can be removed, with or without explanation. There is no penalty beyond that: this is a scoreboard, not a court.
That said: faking a result is fooling yourself for a place in a table on a free website. It is not worth it and it harms nobody except how much fun this can be.
Reporting something
Every entry in the table has a button to report it. If you would rather explain it in words, or if what you have seen is more serious, write to pabloestan135@gmail.com and it will be looked at. There is no deadline to promise: one person runs this.
Removing your result
From the same place where you published, with a button, whenever you like and without giving reasons. The entry is deleted and, if there was one, so is the recording.
An important and honest warning: what identifies you to the leaderboard is an anonymous account stored in your browser. If you clear the site data or change device, it is lost, and with it the ability to touch your own entry. If that happens, write to the address above and it will be deleted by hand.
What is not promised
Cubetta is free and offered as is. There is no guarantee that it will always be available, that the table will not be lost, or that the results shown are true — in fact, the top of this page says exactly the opposite. Keep your own copy of whatever matters to you.
The leaderboard may be closed, emptied or rebuilt if it stops working as it should. If that happens, it will be announced on this same page.
